After a government change back in December, the new Council of Ministers proposed Don Eduardo Torres-Dulce Lifante as the new Attorney General. After being approved by a Parliamentary commission he only needed to be appointed by the King. On a simple ceremony that took place on January 30, in the presence of Their Majesties, the new General Attorney took the oath of office.
On January 31, the King received the General Council of the Official Associations of Social Workers in Spain in audience. The profession of Social Worker was created by Royal Decree on August 17 in 1925. Nowadays, 25000 social workers belong to an official association. During the audience His Majesty was condecorated with the Grand Cross of Social Justice , the highest honor granted by the Associations.
