After the summer holidays, first in Mallorca and after the Pope’s visit in Greece, the Prince and Princess of Asturias have returned to Madrid and their public duties. This week they opened on Thursday the 25th meeting of telecommunications at the Palace of La Magdalena in Santander.
Yesterday evening they attended a dinner to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the business newspaper “Expansión”. On his own don Felipe delivered yesterday the “Bartolomé de las Casas” Award to Bartomeu Meliá and today he’ll attend the meeting of the Scientific Council of the Royal Elcano Institute for International and Strategic Studies. The Royal institute was created in 2001 with the Prince of Asturias as Honorary President.
Next Thursday is Princess Letizia’s birthday, and Their Royal Highnesses will spend it in Paris for the opening of the VIIth International Congress of Victims of Terrorism. They will be back in Spain on Friday, when they’ll close the Ist International Congress on Ethics and Tourism.
